Claude (MCP)
Connect Claude to your data and ask questions in plain language. Claude writes read-only SQL; every row it can see is already scoped to your owner account.
What you need
- A personal account from Heimaleiga (service keys cannot be used here).
- Claude Desktop, or claude.ai with custom connectors enabled.
Connect
- In Claude, add a custom connector with this URL:
https://heimaleiga-owner-mcp.heimaleiga.workers.dev/mcp - Claude opens a sign-in page on owners.heimaleiga.is. Check the address bar before typing anything — it will show which application is asking and where it will send you back.
- Sign in with your email and password, then your authenticator code (if your account requires it — the default).
- Back in Claude, the connector shows two tools:
describe_topics(your tables and columns) andquery(read-only SQL). Start with something like “Show me confirmed revenue per building for the last 12 months.”
What Claude can and cannot do
- Read your tables with SELECT queries. Results are capped at 200 rows and 256 KB per query — Claude aggregates rather than dumping.
- Nothing else: no writes, no other owners' data, no guest identities. Queries time out after 30 seconds.
- Every query is logged (who, what, when) so Heimaleiga can support you and audit access.
Troubleshooting
- “MFA verification required” — your account requires an authenticator and none is enrolled. Sign in once at owners.heimaleiga.is to enrol, then reconnect.
- “No owner data access” — your account has no owner assigned yet; ask Heimaleiga.
- Empty results for a table you expect data in — check
sync_status(ask Claude to query it) and the datasets page for known gaps. - Revoked or disabled accounts stop on the next request; Claude will ask you to reconnect.
